FUND-RAISING INFORMATION

Fruit Sale: October 1 through November 10th (estimated delivery: December 4th)

Our annual citrus fruit fundraiser is now on!  The Godwin Music Department Citrus Sale has long been a favorite seasonal tradition as our neighbors and friends purchase exceptionally fresh oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, apples and pears for personal consumption. The net proceeds from the sale are used to fund our exceptional music education programs and will support the Spring Trip to NYC!

Our sale runs this year until November 10, 2014.  Fliers will soon be distributed at school, through band classes, but even before then, there is also an opportunity to participate in the fundraiser by selling online!  Our group website is http://freshfruitorder.org/mghs and the site is now live.  Purchases can be made online now through November 16, 2014 and we are expecting delivery around December 4.  A definitive delivery date will be announced once confirmed with the vendor.

Looking for innovative ways to add to our fundraiser sales?  Did you know many businesses buy large quantities of citrus fruits, pears and apples as gifts for their employees, clients and customers during the holiday season?  In addition, many organizations buy fruit to distribute as part of their charitable missions. Make sure to visit your local businesses with the opportunity to purchase from our fundraiser and also check with your company’s human resources department to determine if they may have a matching gifts program.

If you have any questions about the group website, or the fundraiser in general, please contact Angela Kenyon, our Ways and Means Committee Chair at 804-867-1482 or waysandmeans@godwinband.org.
